Handicap Posting
Handicap Posting has begun. The USGA Handicap system requires that members post all scores played at any course during the Handicap ‘active season’.
All Club members must post:
- all 9 and 18 hole rounds played anywhere in Western NY (and other northern areas) between Friday April 9th 2010 and Sunday October 31st 2010
- AND all rounds played anytime in places like Florida, Arizona, California (and other areas where the USGA requires year round posting).
The USGA also requires that incomplete rounds be posted.
- If 13 or more holes are played, the player must post an 18-hole score.
- If 7 to 12 holes are played, the player must post a nine-hole score.
In either case, scores for un-played holes must be recorded as par plus any handicap strokes that the player is entitled to receive on the un-played holes. So even if you don’t complete the round or you ‘x-out’ of one or more holes you still must post a score.
